Week 0: w/c 20th April 2015

This week saw a meeting with Wychavon District Council to obtain approval for commencement, including the signing of an agreement between Wychavon DC and Sally Strachey Historic Conservation Ltd (the main contractors). Also checked with the Evesham Town Clerk that all could go ahead. Pre-start photographs taken of churchyard and working area and issued to Contractor, Architect, Wychavon DC and Evesham Town Council. Additional insurance policy purchased for the contract period. Key item this week was the commencement of works to form a temporary footpath around the working area.

Week 1: w/c 27th April 2015

This week saw the completion of the installation of the temporary footpaths, plus the erection of site fencing and the closing off of the pathway under through Bell Tower. At the same time Evesham Town Council also undertook the pollarding of trees within the churchyard: nothing to do with the Bell Tower project, but it does mean there are now some fine views through from Vine Street of the ongoing works. This week also saw the commencement of scaffold deliveries and erection.
